We need to reschedule this meetup due to a scheduling conflict. Please join us and the OK Birth Network at Babies R Us on Saturday the 21st for the Love Letters project. This is an opportunity for you to write to the place(s) you have had babies and tell them what you loved (or didn't) about your birth to let them know what their consumers want. Then join us on the 28th for our regular meetup at Heaven Sent Births. We have several new members who are currently pregnant and exploring their options, so we look forward to meeting you and talking all about BIRTH!

Happy New Year!! I hope everyone had a nice holiday season and is enjoying the new year. OK, we have 82 members in this group...which is AWESOME that there are so many homebirth supporters, but, we have lately had very low turnout, so low in fact that we cancelled both November and December meetings. We love getting together with you and being available for information and support, but we love being with our families on the weekends too. All this is to say that we are going to continue meetup on a trial basis for the next 6 months. This is your group and we want to serve you in whatever way you need but we need your input. What do you want/need from a homebirth/natural birth support group? Please come with ideas or email or post them on the message board. If interest doesn't pick up and everyone has moved on then we will discontinue the group and anyone interested can move over to a yahoo group and we can meet as needed/desired. So, I hope to see or hear from lots of you on or by the 17th.

Due to a very small response, we are going to semi cancel this meetup. We will be there at 11 to work on getting the clinic in order and doing some painting. You are all welcome to stop by anytime or not. We would love to see you, you don't even have to work! We are discussing ways to rev up the meetings or let this activity go. We would love to hear input from you all. How can this group better serve you? What would be a possible better time/day to get together? What would make the meetups better for you? We can re-visit last month's meeting if you want. We have the videos available if there is interest, otherwise we can just hang out. We have had a particularly busy last two weeks, so please RSVP and let us know if there is going to be a turn out.

This month let's have a video day...we have copies of "Business of Being Born", Ricki Lake's birth documentary, a new video titled "Homebirth Dads" which is homebirth from a dad's point of view, or "Psalm and Zoya The Unassisted Birth of Twins". Please take a look at the poll and let me know what you would most like to see!
