Our local organic market just started carrying these. We just found out we're pregnant and would like to try them out, but I'd appreciate any opinions on them from those who have tried them!

Everyone I know that has tried them has been less than impressed. The flushable inserts are more expensive than disposable diapers and you still have to wash the covers. I personally prefer the organic cotton cloth diapers from Loveybums. However the Seventh Generation disposables are high quality eco-friendly paper diapers that we use for daycare. HTH!

I want to try them too, but I haven't heard very good reviews either. Plus the website says to be cautious if on septic, which we are. I seems like a great concept, though.

I've tried them and found that it's easier to use the covers with prefolds than to buy the flushable inserts. Pretty prints and colors too ;)

I wasn't worried about the cost and we have great plumbing (my son has flushed many an item that ought not be flushed... like half-rolls of TP), I'm just wondering about comparing the impact of washing regular cloth diapers vs. washing the liners only of the gdiapers when your child poops in them?

We tried the Gdiapers and I was not happy with them. Cloth diapers are much easier.....we use seventh generation for disposable. I found I had to clean the lining and spent to much time putting them together...........a all-in-one cloth diaper is as easy as the disposable ones.

Which ones do you recommend? We aren't worried about price, we just want to do what is best for the environment.

We use coolababy's. www.coolababy.com (cloth insert diapers)
We bought them on ebay. 12 for $65 and I've been very impressed with them.

I know this is way after the original post, but it is a good article for those considering gdiapers
