Birthing Baby with Breath Please accept this invitation to join us for this special event.
Whether you're pregnant now, plan to be, are done having children, or work as a birth professional, this series is one you won't want to miss.
Pain during labor can be minimized and/or avoided. Depending on the woman and her circumstances, if she has the knowledge and preparation, she can experience a very gentle birth. She can also learn to understand how her body interprets sensations as pain and how to cause her mind to interpret these sensations differently. (Ask the military, if you don't believe me.)
Pain during labor is caused mostly by the tension in one's muscles that are involved with birthing.
Fear (of any kind) causes this tension and a painful birth and often additional difficulties can result.
Through the use of your own breath and understanding of how the muscles work during labor, you can modify the sensations during labor that you might interpret as painful. Additionally, simply changing your perspective and expectation of pain is a very powerful tool to giving yourself a gentle and calm birth.
Join us for an informal discussion and time of calm, learning, and discovery.
Angie (who has first hand experience) and Julie Hughes (Angie's midwife) have prepared this session.
