Please join us as we share Stephanie's birth story.


Our series of birth stories continues as we gather to share in this unique opportunity of first hand experiences and understandings for families in the Denver area.

* Each storyteller is encouraged to bring suggestions of books, websites, pictures of her birth, recommendations of birth professionals, and whatever other materials she would like to use to share her experience with others.

* These sessions are informal, candid, honest and gentle. Please understand that the storyteller will offer her story as she (and her partner, where applicable) determines; she does not need to disclose any sensitive information if she and/or her partner are uncomfortable doing so. However, to that end, you are encouraged to ask questions and when/where the storyteller and partner are able/choose to answer, they will.

    This was an awesome meeting. Steph's story was really inspiring and it was a pleasure and an honor to meet the other women present, too. Also, Perk & Play is a great place. I drove from Boulder and it was totally worth the 40 minute drive. I recommend making this a regular meeting place- children can play with the abundant toys while parents watch, eat, drink and talk together. I'll make this drive any time for the location and the wonderful company. I hope more of you can make it in the future.

    • “ Stephanie's story was very inspiring and she really went all out- she had a slide show on her laptop and a handout with recommended reading and support groups with their web links! As I face my first home birth in 6 weeks, to hear other women did it and that it went well is really wonderful. All the women present- it was a nice intimate group- were really great, and we all had such a good time that we've decided to meet up again next Saturday, same place, at 2pm. We all agreed we'd love to meet up there regularly. And of course we'd love to see other members join us there. ”
