Introduction
Gave birth to my son in 6/06 at home in the tub. Married 5 1/2 years. Graduated from UGA (go Dawgs!) in '02 w/ a degree in Child and Family Development. Believe in God, natural health, breastfeeding, homebirthing and chiropractic care.
Have you given birth at home? With a midwife or without?
I gave birth to my son at home in June 2006 with Beth as the midwife.
What would you like to discuss at meetings?
I'm up for anything related to pregnancy and birth. I would love to answer questions for those who are interested in learning more about homebirth.
Are you a childbirth professional?
No.
What do you have to offer this group? What would you like to get from it?
I had a wonderful, healthy pregnancy and birth and love discussing all aspects of the process from eating well and exercising, to giving birth and breastfeeding.
What is your most profound birth memory?
I was amazed at how my body knew exactly what to do. My head also knew what to do, thanks to all my reading and research, but I thought it was awesome how my body took over and how smooth and easy birth was.

I think it's beneficial to have a variety of people present as it brings different experiences and views to the group. It is a very open, laid back group with tons of information available and lots of encouragement and support.
