Introduction
After 3 medicalized hospital births, I am hoping my 4th and final child will be welcomed into our home in a natural intervention-less way this December.
Have you given birth at home? With a midwife or without?
Unfortunately, No. I am from Ohio where Home birth is very much "underground." And I had no clue I had options anyway.
What would you like to discuss at meetings?
Labor techniques, Husband/labor partner's role in the birth (This is my husband's very first birth!)
Are you a childbirth professional?
I am a registered medical assistant with interest in pediatrics. So, short answer, no.
What do you have to offer this group? What would you like to get from it?
I would love to leave the group reaffirmed in everything I already feel strongly about. I would also like to see success stories instead of all the horror stories you hear on Discovery Health.
What is your most profound birth memory?
When my second child, who's gender was a mystery was born and we discovered he was a boy.
